With the help of you, our local community, Love Your Hospital provides vital funds to support hospital projects beyond core NHS funding at St Richard’s in Chichester, Worthing Hospital and Southlands Hospital in Shoreham. This includes providing state-of-the-art medical equipment, improving treatment facilities for patients, supporting staff development and enhancing the hospital environment for all.

Sustaining long-term quality and service

We invest in hospital projects which fall outside of core NHS funding, and allows us to fast-track the purchase of the very latest equipment for your hospitals and healthcare teams. With your support they can deliver the best possible service for you, your family, and your friends.

Providing equipment and facilities

The latest medical equipment can be expensive, but with your support we are able to invest in new technology which can speed up diagnosis, reduce waiting times and limit the need for local families to travel outside the area for hospital care.

Helping our medical teams reach their potential

We’re committed to investing in local healthcare for future generations and we do this by supporting additional education and training for our dedicated staff. This enables your doctors and nurses to further develop their skills, share best practice with fellow colleagues and continue to provide the best possible care to patients.

Little gestures, big impact

Your donations provide the little extras too. A bravery toy doesn’t cost much, but makes all the difference to a young child away from the familiar surroundings of home or undergoing invasive treatment in hospital.

Putting patients first

Love Your Hospital supports a diverse range of projects across St Richard’s, Worthing
and Southlands Hospitals where there is a clear and direct benefit to patients.

Fernhurst Centre

Love Your Hospital ran a four-year appeal to raise £3.5 million needed to fund a purpose-built cancer day unit at St Richard’s Hospital. Services include diagnosis, treatment and monitoring along with NHS-approved complementary therapy including aromatherapy, Bath flower remedies and reflexology.

Cardiac Catheter Laboratory

Worthing Hospital has a modern cardiac catheter laboratory for invasive treatments following a £1 million appeal lead by Love Your Hospital in 2012.

Soft Close Ward Bins

Following a patient survey that identified how frequent slamming of bin lids on wards at night resulted in sleep disruption and hindered recovery, Love Your Hospital funded ward bins to be replaced with soft-close alternatives. A small gesture which has made a huge difference to the lives of many of our patients across the trust.
