The fundraising undertaken by the charity for your local hospital is essential, ensuring that your clinicians and nursing staff have the best facilities and equipment available to treat patients within our trust-wide community. It allows us to fund things that fall outside of the NHS priority list enabling us to fast-trak the latest equipment that allows our healthcare professions to deliver the best for you and your family and friends.
We are passionate about our community and safeguarding the quality and service our local hospitals provide, ensuring that they have the monies needed to purchase equipment and facilities that can help to save and change lives and ensure that we have appropriate healthcare for our community.
'Love your hospitals' fundraising allows us to invest in projects which fall outside normal NHS funding arrangements, and allows us to fast-track the purchase of the very latest equipment for our healthcare professionals, so that they can deliver the best possible service for you, your family, and your friends. We do not invest in everyday, disposable items which should be funded centrally, but support projects which improve the patient experience.'
'Love your hospitals' manages over 85 individual ward funds across three hospitals so that we can buy and negotiate on their behalf and manage the donations. We co-ordinate fundraising activities for major projects and initiatives ensuring that momentum is maintained and targets are met and help business and sponsors to fulfil their commitment to corporate social responsibilities.
Our fundraising team helps support individual fundraising events and efforts by families, friends and staff at each of the hospitals ensuring that monies raised and donations are properly accounted for and managed. It closely monitors how the money raised is used trust wide for the benefit of patients and staff.
All major fund raising undertaken for the hospitals within the trust are managed by the charity with almost £7 million raised since 2005, for major projects like the Cancer Day Unit, Pharmacy and MRI scanner - but we need your help, however big or small.
Medical advances and technology allow us to continue to improve the quality of care we can provide for patients at Worthing, Shoreham and Chichester hospitals. In order to do this, we must ensure we have the very best medical equipment available for our staff.
But, thanks to our supporters and their fundraising, legacy's and donations, the charity is able to provide our hospitals with state-of-the-art equipment so that our exceptional doctors and nurses can help improve the diagnosis and therapy for all in our community.
